Today I said goodbye to Melbourne and hello to the sunshine coast!

In sunshine coast I'm staying with the wonderful Caulfield family on their 100 acre farm land. They're kindness and generosity has just truly been incredible. I first came across their family when Hamish DM'd me on Instagram! Then after chatting with him, I got to know him and his sisters a bit more! And now after months of messaging I FINALLY GOT TO MEET THEM!

They picked me up from the Brisbane airport, and drove up to the coast! Then after meeting their parents and uncle, and chatting with them heaps about life, we got down to business... the business of making epic vegan pizza. We topped our pizzas with tomato sauce, mushroom, pepper, red onion, tomato, zucchini, pineapple, figs, and vegan mozzarella. Seriously, TO DIE FOR. AH. Then after eating ourselves into a food coma, we had a movie night! But halfway through the movie my mom called and I chatted with her and caught her up about my life. It was so wonderful to speak with her, but it did make me feel a twinge of homesickness.

One thing about travelling, and moving around a bit, is that it can be quite lonely. That's largely why I'm truly so grateful that this family has really welcomed me and taken me in with open arms. It truly has given me the sense of family that I haven't felt since leaving Vancouver. Truly just sitting at their table and eating dinner with them was such a blessing and I'm truly so grateful.

Then after my mom called, I gave Callum a ring, and we talked for ages. I feel so blessed to have him in my life, and it always puts me at ease hearing his voice. Thankful to him, and the Caulfield family for helping me feel more at home here in AUS.

What are you grateful for?
