For the next few days I'm going to be crashing on my friends Chloe and Simon's couch, and oh man. I could not be happier to be in their little studio flat with them. They are the most beautiful husband and wife duo, and the two of them are seriously two of the most loving genuine vivacious FULL OF LIFE people I've ever met. Chloe is honestly just this ball of energy and love, while Simon is one of the most considerate quietly kind people I've encountered. So after training to their place, and getting settled in a bit I skyped my mom! It was wonderful to see my best friend again eheh, and made me realize how much I love her, and how little I actually appreciate her.
Then I proceeded in having the most amazing day being lazy as can be. I walked down to the water and read under the most beautiful stoic tree for hours. Literally, I just sat under that tree, reading for most of the day... with not a care in the world, and it was oh so wonderful.
OH ALSO JUST BTW, I BOOKED TICKETS FOR NEW ZEALAND EEEK.
Then I came back to Chloe and Simons apartment, and we cooked up dinner, and talked and talked and TALKED ABOUT LIFE. Then all 3 of us, and their beautiful next door neighbour Caroline, sat on the floor and ate our delicious humble dinner of sweet potato, rice, beans, and "cheezy" kale. I had 3 servings and thoroughly enjoyed myself. Then we all shared a pint of ZEBRA DREAMS SALTED CARAMEL ICE CREAM. LIKE IT WAS LEGIT THE MOST DELICIOUS THING I'VE EVER TASTED. NOT EVEN EXAGGERATING ONE BIT. YOU NEED THIS IN YOUR LIFE. NOW. So life is SWEET AS A SWEET POTATO.
These 38 days have been everything I could have dreamed of and more, but they've also been just EXHAUSTING. As amazing as it is meeting people, travelling around, and living spontaneously, it does wear me down and I've just been noticing that I'm starting to feel drained. So today was definitely a much needed break from my usual hectic busy days, and I'm so grateful that I was able to just relax, and sort of take a breather today. BUT READY FOR WHAT TOMORROW IS GOING TO BRING EEK!
