DAY 365

Picked up a bunch of things I ordered for Everest, and walked for an hour with my mom by the sea. I told her about what I learnt this year, and realized I learnt a shit ton more than I ever did in school ahah. But upon reflection, I also realized there were a few key influencers that helped nudge me in the right direction. So I came home and compiled the quotes that I think had the biggest impact on my life.

They are:

"The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, and expecting different results."

-Albert Einstein.

"May your heart be bigger than any challenge you face."

"It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice."

"Mood follows action."

"A good life is not a place at which you arrive, it is a lens through which you see and create your world."

"Hakuna Matata"

"How you do anything is how you do everything."

"Attitude of Gratitude"

“The mass of men lead lives of quiet desperation. What is called resignation is confirmed desperation. "

-Henry David Thoreau

“Where you tend a rose my lad, a thistle cannot grow.”

Frances Hodgson Burnett,

"To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment. "

-Ralph Waldo Emerson

"Our chief want is someone who will inspire us to be what we know we could be. "

-Ralph Waldo Emerson

"Nobody can bring you peace but yourself. "

-Ralph Waldo Emerson

"Follow Your Bliss"

-Joseph Campbell.

In a way this was the most profound one, it was what initially set me on this journey of change and happiness.

Also, WTF, I realized today was my last day of daily blogging. Honestly, it totally just snuck up on me. I'm so used to doing these blogs everyday that it's really not even an effort to me whatsoever. It's just a nightly routine like brushing my teeth. But either way, because it's my last day, I wanted to sum up some of the lessons I've learnt from this year, some from those that I look up to, and some just from my own experiences:

Things are usually okay

It's either a: win or learn

Adventure is for everyone

Smile, trust me it’s worth it

Be intentional

Be open

Be creative

Be kind

Before u can be unapologetically joyful, you must first be unapologetically ourselves

Be you

Question everything

Idolize no one

Applaud humility

And with that last note, I'm now going to be parting ways with daily blogging, who knows I may return to it, but for the time being, I'm signing off.

AND MAN, what a fucking year it's been. Oh so much to be grateful for.
